Why You Should Start Drinking More Green Tea
I have always been a coffee drinker. I can remember begging my dad to let me sip some of his magical-looking coffee in the mornings. I knew it had to be delicious because all the adults would drink it every morning, and I was RIGHT. Coffee is so wonderful. However, now that I am getting older, and hopefully wiser, I have a growing appreciation for tea...mostly because I want tea sandwiches and tea parties (it all just seems so elegant). I have begun exploring the tea world and one of my first realizations was that I do not like green tea. I much prefer black tea, but I have seen so much information about how great green tea is for you that I decided to look into it myself.
Ota N, Soga S, Shimotoyodome A. did some research on the catechins in green tea. Catechins are a type of antioxidant and are found in high amounts inside green tea leaves. Antioxidants are known to be helpful to our bodies, and foods that have them should be included in our diets. Antioxidants help your body fight free radicals, which are molecules that can harm our bodies. The study gave catechins to non-athlete males. The men would take it daily and exercise several times during the week. The results found that the men had improved aerobic capacity because of the catechins in green tea. Aerobic capacity has to do with your body’s ability to use oxygen.
So after reading this study, I can see that I really should be drinking green tea more regularly. Luckily, CAcafe makes Coconut Tea. This Coconut Tea is the only way I have been able to drink green tea and enjoy it. Moreover, with the coconut inside my tea, I can double down on the benefits I am reaping because we all know how amazing the coconut is! Green Tea + Coconut = My Body Loves Me. Now I am going to start having my Coconut Coffee in the morning and some Coconut Tea in the afternoon.
While many studies show the benefits of green tea and how it can help improve one's aerobic capacity, CAcafe does not guarantee that drinking CAcafe coconut tea will lead to increased aerobic capacity. After all, each person's body is different and responds to things differently!
